It includes many frequently requested features and has an API which allows it to be extended to meet users' needs more easily. The configuration requires site-specific modifications and hence has deliberately left unconfigured (see the HPUX.Install for configuration details). This release has been configured to support dynamically loadable modules, multi-threading and SSL by default.
