Curl tool for getting files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, GOPHER, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP. Curl supports HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication and a busload of other useful tricks.
