NeoCognitron-1.0
A hierarchical self-organising feedforward neural network
It learns off-line in a supervised or unsupervised manner. The network is mainly used to recognise handwritten numerals and characters. An advantage of the network is its considerable tolerance with respect to distortion and misalignment of the input patterns.
