An image and video compression system
FIASCO is based on fractal coding which outperforms the well known JPEG and MPEG standards. It consists of a memory hogging X11 application to analyse and visualise a compressed image, a tool to generate the binary tree of the compressed image a command line application and others.

There are run-time dependencies that need to be installed first. Why not use depothelper to install them all in one go?
