The Motif VT Widget system and applications
The VT widget is a VT320 level emulation (more or less). It has ANSI colour escape sequences some VT241 colour control and many unique additional features. It is a composite widget with the ability to generate child widgets that scroll. Graphics display in the form of XBM and XPM is supported. Very highly recommended.

There are run-time dependencies that need to be installed first. Why not use depothelper to install them all in one go?
